HOW MUCH WILL THE PASSPORT FEE BE IN 2022? A RECORD HIKE IN THE PASSPORT IS AT THE DOOR
Turkey iResidence, “A hike in passport fees is on the way with the New Year, and the revaluation rate set every year has increased by 36 percent this year. The President has the right to reduce or increase the rate, but if he does not use his authority, the fee for a 4-10-year passport will be able to increase from 1,008 TL to 1,478 TL.”
Before the new year, hikes began to arrive at a high rate. The Revaluation Rate, which is used to determine the rate of increase to be applied to taxes, fees and penalties in 2022 and was 9.11 percent last year, set a record with 36.20 percent this year. The revaluation rate is determined according to the Producer Price Index figure released in October of each year. The President has the authority to reduce or increase the rate.

REPUBLIC OF TURKEY PASSPORT FEES 2022
If it is applied after a revaluation of 36 percent, the prices of passport fees in 2022 will be as follows;
The passport fee for up to 6 months will increase from 227 TL to 309 TL, the passport fee for 1 year will increase from 450.8 TL, the passport fee for 2 years will increase to 738 TL, the passport fee for 3 years will increase from 1,048.7 TL, the passport fee for 4-10 years will increase from 1,008 TL to 1,478 TL.

WHAT IS THE REVALUATION RATE?
The Revaluation Rate is calculated in accordance with Article 298 of the Tax Procedure Code.
The Revaluation Rate refers to the average price increase rate that occurred in the General Index of Producer Prices (PPI) compared to the same period of the year before October of the year when the revaluation will be made.
At the beginning of each year, the revaluation rate is announced together with the announcement of the inflation rates for October. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance, on the other hand, announces this rate to the public in the Official Gazette with a Communique.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUING A TURKISH PASSPORT
Applicant required documents :
1- Identity Card, T.C. The original Identity Card or temporary identity document
2- Receipt of fees and wallet fees
3- Two biometric photos
4- Student certificate (For those who request a passport without fees)
5- Certificate of consent for non-adults or persons with disabilities
6- If you have an old passport
7- If validity period of public passports is less than 6 months, an additional fee of at least 6 months must be paid in order to issue a new passport.
