ANNOUNCEMENTTURKISH AIRLINES STATEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC FLIGHTS DUE TO CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK. TURKISH AIRLINES WILL BEGIN DOMESTIC FLIGHTS ON 04 JUNE AND INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS ON 10 JUNE 2020.

FOR 3 MONTH PLANNING, ALL DOMESTIC FLIGHTS SHALL CONTINUE IN JUNE, AND INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS TO BE CARRIED OUT GRADUALLY.

(SUNEXPRESS AND PEGASUS AIRLINE FLIGHTS ARE TO START ALSO 04 JUN IN TURKEY).

IN JUNE 75 WEEKLY FREQUENCY FLIGHTS TO 19 COUNTRIES, IN JULY TO 103 DESTINATIONS TO 572 FREQUENCY FLIGHTS PER WEEK TO 74 COUNTRIES, IN AUGUST MORE FLIGHTS UPTO 98 COUNTRIES AND 160 DESTINATIONS TO 937 FREQUENCY FLIGHTS PER WEEK WILL CONTINUE.

APPLYING FOR RESIDENCE PERMIT IN ISTANBUL APPOINTMENT SHIFT

For Istanbul the government Migration Management Offices and doors are closed. However other province appointments for foreigners are continued on regular pace.

The appointment dates of foreigners who have applied for residence permit in Istanbul and who made appointment between 19 Mar – 22 Apr 2020 are rescheduled to 01 Jun – 30 Jun 2020. Foreigners who specify their Turkish mobile number as communication preference will also be informed by the General Directorate of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi) through SMS.

  1. No action will be taken regarding residence application before the updated appointment date.

  2. Only appointment dates have been updated and no changes have been made in the place.
    .
  3. For example: Appointment at 10:00 on 19.03.2020 is changed to 10:00 on 01.06.2020.

  4. Foreigners who have completed the application process will not be subject to any loss of rights.

Foreigners who specify their Turkish mobile as communication preference will also be informed by the General Directorate of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi) through SMS.

  • Turkey shut down borders of 31 cities and towns and imposed a partial curfew for citizens under the age of 20 to contain the corona virus outbreak.

  • Turkey’s land borders with Greece and Bulgaria have been closed to entry and exit of passengers as a measure against the corona virus outbreak.
